All of our teachers are certified and have received their teaching credentials. We are so thankful for our teachers who take pride in managing their classroom, caring for each of his students, and challenging the class to work hard in their individual studies. Meet the Administrative Team

  • Michele Esqueda

    kindergarten

    Mrs. Esqueda has taught kindergarten for 10 years. She joined Prince of Peace in 2008 and holds a liberal studies degree and a psychology minor from Concordia University, Irvine, with an emphasis in child development. Mrs. Esqueda enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, watching movies & sports, shopping, and sharing God's love with her kindergartners.

  • arlene snyder

    Kindergarten

    Mrs. Snyder joined Prince of Peace in 2009. She taught First Grade for 5 years, Third Grade for 5 years and is currently teaching Kindergarten and loves it! She holds a BS Degree from Cal State East Bay and a master’s degree from UOP. Mrs. Snyder enjoys spending time with her husband, her two teenage boys,and her two German Shepherds. She loves growing in her relationship with Jesus, cooking, dancing, and RVing with family and friends.

  • Elisebeth Rodriguez

    First Grade

    Mrs. Rodriguez is new to Prince of Peace and the Bay Area! She taught preschool at a Lutheran school for 3 years in Minneapolis, MN after graduating from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2016 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her husband, photography, hiking, and yoga.

  • lori robeck

    First Grade

    Mrs. Robeck taught preschool at Prince of Peace for nine years and another two years of Physical Education.  We are so excited to welcome her to the first grade teaching team! Mrs. Robeck has a passion for early childhood studies, exercise, and enjoys sharing her creative and playful side with her students. She enjoys spending time with her family, as well as trail running and trail photography.

  • Erin dueck

    second grade

    Mrs. Dueck joined Prince of Peace in 2010 and has just completed her 10th year teaching 2nd grade here at POP. She also has 6 years teaching experience in other combined elementary grades. She holds a B.S. in Education from Concordia University, Nebraska, with emphasis on music. Mrs. Dueck enjoys creating lessons and experiences to guide her students in exploring and learning about the amazing world God has created. She loves helping each child grow and flourish. She also enjoys spending time with her family, going hiking, and enjoying nature.

  • Karsin Gowdy

    Second Grade

    Originally from San Diego, Ms. Gowdy is beginning her second year at POP. She has over three years’ experience teaching Pre-K, and graduated from Concordia Irvine in 2015. During her studies, Ms. Gowdy also studied theology abroad at Westfield House in Cambridge.  In addition to teaching 2nd grade Ms. Gowdy enjoys weightlifting, making costumes, and spending time with friends.

  • Heidi Blank

    Third Grade

    Miss Blank is beginning her second year at POP! She graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2011. For the past seven years she served at Christ Lutheran in Norfolk, NE and then Faith Lutheran in Eustis, FL where she taught fifth and third grade. She has participated in church handbell choirs, attended mission trips to Honduras and Latvia, served as a YAV and CLB at multiple National Youth Gatherings, and coached JV volleyball. Miss Blank enjoys going the beach, Disney, trips to Starbucks, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

  • ceres robinson

    third grade

    Mrs. Robinson has been teaching since 2004. She joined Prince of Peace in 2011. She has been teaching 3rd grade since joining us and formerly 1st grade for 7 years. She holds a Bachelors degree from Valparaiso University with emphasis in Elementary Education and also a Masters degree from San Francisco State University with emphasis in Special Education. Mrs. Robinson enjoys traveling, Broadway musicals, sports events, and spending time with her family.

  • CHeryl rawlins

    fourth grade

    Ms. Rawlins  joined Prince of Peace in 1992, but has been teaching for 40 years. In the past she has taught from Preschool through 8th grade. She  graduated from Concordia University, Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a minor in sociology.  She enjoys quilting, dancing, exploring and spending time with her family.

  • Janelle hopkins

    fourth grade

    Mrs. Hopkins has taught fourth grade in public and Lutheran schools. She joined Prince of Peace in 2017 and holds a B.A. in English from the University of California, Davis with an emphasis in teaching, a multiple-subject teaching credential from San Francisco State University, and an M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Christian Education. She and her husband, Dave, got married in 2011 and have identical twin girls who attend Prince of Peace School. She is also a Sunday school teacher at Grace Baptist Church in Fremont. For fun and relaxation, Mrs. Hopkins likes to read British literature, have high tea, drink coffee, and watch movies.

  • Erin mansfield

    fifth grade

    Mrs. Erin Mansfield has been teaching 5th grade at Prince of Peace since 2013 and this is her 13th year of teaching. She graduated from Concordia University, Irvine with a degree in Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in General Science. She also has a Masters of Education from Concordia University, Irvine. In her free time Mrs. Mansfield enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and son and exploring the beautiful outdoors and serving others in our community.

  • joe smith

    fifth grade

    Mr. Smith joined the Prince of Peace family as one of our substitute teachers in 2015.  He stepped in as a full-time First Grade teacher in 2016 and became one of our Fifth grade teachers in 2017.  In addition to teaching fifth-grade, he also coaches the school’s cross country team. Mr. Smith has his degree from Oklahoma State University as well as a Masters Degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University. He enjoys watching sports, running, coaching lacrosse and spending time with his family.

  • Trevor Sollitt

    sixth grade homeroom

    Mr. Sollitt substitute taught during the 2013-2014 school year and officially became staff in 2014. He has been the computer teacher and go-to-person for everything technology for the last 6 years.  He has also taught Bible and Language Arts for Jr. High.  This year we are excited to have him be fulltime in Jr High as a 6th grade homeroom teacher. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University with an emphasis on Cognition. Mr. Sollitt enjoys spending time with loved ones, watching baseball, and eating burritos.

  • Kris Toth

    sixth grade homeroom, jr. high science

    Mr. Toth joined the staff of Prince of Peace in 2015. He graduated from Cal State East Bay with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and has his master’s degree in Elementary Education. He has been a 7th grade homeroom teacher, jr. high PE teacher and Athletic Director while coaching flag football, basketball, and volleyball. In his free time, he likes to go hiking, eat lots of food, play any sport he can outside, and spend time with his family.

  • Cassia Sollitt

    seventh grade Homeroom/language arts

    Mrs. Sollitt is new to the staff this year but not to the school. A Prince of Peace alumni and member of the church, she is excited to teach Jr. High Language Arts and be a 7th grade homeroom teacher. She taught high school English from 2016-2020 and previously worked as a marketing coordinator for a local film festival. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counselor Education from San Jose State University. In her spare time, she loves reading, writing, drinking coffee, rooting for the 49ers, and watching Disney movies.





  • ryan melcher

    Director of school events and ACTIVITIES, seventh grade homeroom, social studies

    Mr. Melcher taught 5th and 6th grade for 10 years before joining Prince of Peace in 2015.  He currently teaches Jr. High Social Studies.  He holds a BA degree in Broad Field Social Studies from Concordia University-Wisconsin.  Mr. Melcher completed the School Leadership Development program (SLED) through the Missouri synod. He is currently finishing up his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. This year his is stepping into the role Director of  School Events and Activities. He enjoys camping, cooking and spending time with his wife and two sons.

    8th grade homeroom, jr. high math

    Mr. Berg has been teaching at Prince of Peace since 2015. In addition to teaching Jr. High Math he also coaches girls softball.  He earned his bachelors degree from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon and his masters degree from WGU Washington.   He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating and hiking.  He loves quality time with his wife Cara, his son Marcus, and his daughter Sophia.  Mr. Berg is also a big sports fan and follows the Seahawks, Mariners and Trailblazers.

  • Viviana sisniegas

    spanish teacher

    Señora Sisniegas joined Prince of Peace as a full-time Spanish teacher in 2016. Señora Sisniegas, born in Peru, enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, dancing, biking and traveling.

  • cara berg

    music director, choir

    Cara Berg is the Director of Worship Arts at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont and has been there since 2015. She graduated from Concordia University - Portland in 2007 with a major in elementary education and minors in professional church work and music, and an endorsement in early childhood education. At Prince of Peace School, Cara oversees the music ministry and directs the Junior High Choir and Student Praise Band. At the church she serves as director of Choirs and leader of Praise Bands, and assists in creating meaningful worship service experiences.  In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, making music, and spending time with her family.

  • Jake Glennon

    INstrumental Music

    Mr. Glennon is new this year to Prince of Peace, and will be teaching instrumental music. He graduated from Concordia University-Irvine in 2019 with a degree in music education. From heavy metal rock bands to church choirs, he has done it all. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors. Whether that is biking, hiking, rock climbing, or camping, he is ready!

    music teacher

    Miss Stein has taught 2nd grade since 2004. She has a B.S. in Biology from San Jose State University and a teaching credential from Santa Clara University. Miss Stein enjoys hiking, dancing, playing the flute and piano, and spending time with her niece and nephew. This year Miss Stein is going to step away from teaching 2nd grade full-time and is going to step into a new roll as one of our music teachers, focusing on the elementary grades.

    kindergarten aid, extended care and summer program director

    Ms. Nickles joined Prince of Peace in 2014 as the Extended Care Director and part-time Kindergarten Aid.  In 2016 she  started Prince of Peace's first Summer Program, with much success.  In her free time she enjoys watching movies, camping and spending time with family and friends.



  • Coach David Bravo

    PE

    Coach Bravo has been in education for the last 30 years. He has taught at every level including elementary, middle school, high school, and college. He emphasizes activities for lifelong learning. He appreciates all questions in regard to health and human performance. In his spare time he enjoys coaching and scouting basketball, hiking, and is learning to a ride a bike.
